What's the best way to explore el salado?

Exploring El Salado is fun and easy. A one and one-half hour boat ride, guided by a professional marine biologist, takes you through the winding mangrove forests and different areas of the preserve. Along the way, they will explain the history of the preserve and describe the various wildlife that lives there. At the halfway point, you can exit the boat and climb the watchtower for a 360 degree, bird's eye view of the entire preserve.

How do i book a tour?

Due to limited space on each boat tour, reservations are necessary. Tours are available every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. You can book your reservation directly on the preserve's website, or by calling them at 322 201 73 61.
