Christmas Tree and Toys Delivered to Your Suite at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit;
Focus on Charity & Environment, Traditional Fiesta, Santa's Workshop, On-Site Movie Theater and More
Riviera Nayarit, Mexico (Oct 15, 2013) - Tree decorating, presents and holiday-themed programs are only part of the Christmas Experience at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit; with a special focus on environmental preservation and charitable giving. Guests can bring their celebrations to the resort with Christmas trees (pre-decorated or with ornaments to decorate as a family) and toys delivered to guests' spacious suite, each more than 1,000 square feet. Everything can be easily pre-selected from an online list prior to arrival. Charity and the environment pay a crucial role in the program: local trees have their roots in tact for replanting. At Santa's Workshop, participants are encouraged to paint wooden toys, which are donated to the children at Casa Hogar de Puerto Vallarta. There, guests can also purchase toys from a display, where 50 percent of the proceeds go to the orphanage, or make a monetary donation. Family activities also include kids pictures with Santa, drive-in movie theater in the resorts' garden and a traditional Mexican Posada fiesta. The celebration is from December 20 to 26.
From December 20-26, 2013, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit's Santa's Workshop features the Velas staff dressing up as Santa's helpers, assisting families to participate in a variety of activities, including painting the Kids Club mascot, Pancho the Monkey on to shirts, and creating Christmas tree t-shirts with glitter to bring home as souvenirs. Families with younger kids can paint pictures with their hands and feet as well as decorate Mexican ceramics.
Activities include Christmas Morning With Santa from 8-10 a.m., where guests can have their photos taken with Santa, enjoy the resort's giant Christmas tree and all kids walk away with a special present from the resort. At Pancho's Auto-Cinema, guests sit on benches simulating cars for a drive-in movie projected on a large screen in the outdoor garden. Families can also experience Mexican Posada, a national tradition complete with drinking of holiday fruit punch and a grand piñata filled with candy.
The dedicated webpage allows guests to make arrangements prior to arrival by choosing between a decorated tree or one without ornaments, the color of the ornaments, type of Christmas balls and type of lights. Guests can choose which presents will be delivered to the suite the night of December 24th, from an online list of toys. There, guest also have the option to purchase toys for donation to the local orphanage, Casa Hogar de Puerto Vallarta.
All-inclusive rates include luxury suite accommodations, a la carte gourmet meals at a variety of specialty restaurants, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, fitness center, taxes, gratuity and more. There is an additional charge for the Christmas tree and toys and arrangements must be made before November 30, 2013.
