Eduardo Vela Ruiz Names Ignacio Mendoza Managing Director of Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

Riviera Nayarit, Mexico (April 29, 2014) - Today, Ignacio Mendoza Valenzuela joins the management team at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit as Managing Director of the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. The position is presented by Eduardo Vela Ruiz, President of the Board of Directors of Velas Resorts and Juan Vela Ruiz, Vice President of the company.

Mendoza is Chilean by birth and Mexican by naturalization. Mendoza earned a degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Universidad La Salle in Cancun and immediately began his work as a professional in Amsterdam, Holland at the Le Méridien Apollo with specialized training in food and beverage. At 38 years old, Mendoza has worked in important establishments such as Carrousel Hotel Cancun-Riviera Maya as Operations Manager, Hotel Presidente InterContinental Cancun and Guadalajara as Director of Food and Beverage, Hotel Casa de Campo La Romana in the Dominican Republic as Executive Assistant Manager/Director of Food and Beverage and Hotel Secrets Marquis in Los Cabos as Resident Manager.
