$600K Renovation Transforms Lobby Bar to Modern Mexican Entertainment Area
Riviera Nayarit, Mexico (January 20, 2016) The "Beyond All-Inclusive, Beyond All-Compare" Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has added Koi Sports Bar and Dancing Lounge, a new entertainment option, to its luxury all-inclusive offerings. Highlights of the casually elegant space, which recently completed a $600K renovation, include a 27-ft dramatic marble bar, state of the art sound and video equipment and comfortable seating groups. A DJ spins the latest hits for guests' listening and dancing pleasure with a dedicated dance floor.
Koi is named for a lovely fish prized for its ornamental quality which glistens in the sun, and is often thought to symbolize good fortune. The resort's sister property Grand Velas Riviera Maya debuted the original Koi concept in 2014.
The unique martini menu ranges from a Grand Velas Tini with Beefeater Gin, Controy, Rosemary Syrup, Smoked Kime, Cucumber and Ginger to the Galantuomo (translated to Gentleman in Italian) with Malibu Rum, Pucker Watermelon Schnapps, Cranberry Juice and Sparkling Wine.
Koi seats 110 indoors and outdoors overlooking the resort's three-tiered infinity pool and Banderas Bay. It is open daily from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
