New Mezcal Insuite WOW Amenity Offered In New Grand Terrace Suites with Private Rooftops At Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (December 16, 2021) - Guests staying at the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit can now enjoy a new insuite DIY Mezcal Cocktail Kit, available exclusively in the new Grand Terrace Suites. The kit includes Velas' own Olvídame Si Puedes mezcal, a drink recipe, Tajin rimmed glasses and accompaniments like guava candy, slices of orange and dark chocolate. Created exclusively for Velas Resorts by a master mezcalero, Olvídame Si Puedes (Forget Me If You Can) is a white crystalline mezcal, made with 100% espadin agave. After maturing for more than six years in the central valleys of Oaxaca, the agave is harvested and distilled twice in a copper alembic still before revealing aromas of humid earth and agave and notes of smoke, herbs and cooked agave. In the Grand Terrace Suites, the mezcal welcome amenity is a new way to enjoy one of the most ancestral beverages in the country. Guests can either sip the mezcal and enjoy a bite or make their own Hibiscus Mezcaltini. For anyone who is unable to travel, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit shares the recipe and directions on how to make the specialty drink at home.
Hibiscus Mezcaltini
Ingredients
1.5 oz mezcal
4 oz hibiscus tea (recipe below)
dash lime juice
½ c ice
Hibiscus Tea:
2 qt water
1 c sugar (depending on sweetness preference)
