Had a beautiful and relaxing time at this resort in mid August. It was my first time at an all-inclusive, so I can't compare this to others, but the service was prompt and warm, the food was delicious, and location was gorgeous. I think due to the time of year there were fewer guests which meant that I got a lot of personal attention! I took a kayak tour with Carlos who told me about the surrounding areas and gave me some excellent recommendations. I also took a bike tour with Brandon who was similarly very friendly, gave me great information about the region, and gave me great food recommendations. Special shout out to Eduardo, who was so friendly and always stopped to chat with me about the local flora and fauna, and Giraldo, who went above and beyond in the poolside service.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Aug 2026. We left with mixed feelings. Excellent service from all the staff except the reception staff during the checkout (They are at 3/10 while all the other staff there are at 10/10. They need to be put in some training program to match their service with the other staff members). Extremely well maintained property including the rooms. Food is 7/10. It’s nowhere near Michelin star food. It just meets a typical nyc restaurant food in terms of taste and quality. It’s not a very big resort with a lot of activities, it’s a good place to relax and unwind with one live event in the evening. Kids club is clean and they are staffed well and is suitable for 4+ year old kids. However, after leaving this place we left wondering if the 1k per night price tag was worth the experience. It’s definitely worth to try it out if you have never tried Grand Velas in this area.
